Eligibility Guidelines for Student Athletes
& Parent Participation Participation
|
|
|
|
Athlete Eligibility (abbreviated - please see
athletic handbook for complete policy)
|
|
Principal
approval is necessary for participation in the HRS Athletic Program.
Each student must have a
continuous GPA of 2.0 or higher per grading quarter and not receive an
"F" in any subject in order to
participate. Each student must have continuous written approval from
teachers on academic and classroom
conduct.
All in class assignments must be current and approved by the homeroom
teacher. If a student athlete fails
to turn in assignments, this action will result in restriction from the
team. It is the responsibility of the student
athlete to inform his/her parent if he/she is placed on probation. If
on probation, a clearance form must be
signed by the homeroom teacher, athletic director and parent before a
student athlete is able to participate
in practice or team games.
For a student athlete to be eligible to participate in that day's
athletic contest they must have attended class
for the majority of the day. On a minimum day, the student can attend
scheduled contests, games,
tournaments and meets. |
