Welcome to the 2014-15 school year! I am honored to be here as your new principal. Holy Rosary School is a ministry of Holy Rosary Parish. Our small Transitional Kindergarten - eighth grade school strives to provide a safe, positive, and intellectual learning environment. Holy Rosary School graduates leave strong in their Catholic faith as well as creative problem solvers and critical thinkers.
High academic expectations and responsible citizenship is expected of all students. All students are encouraged to be active participants in their faith and to demonstrate self-respect and respect for others at all times. Social justice is a central theme at our school.
California’s Common Core State Standards (CCSS) provide a rigorous approach to learning. Holy Rosary School students are challenged to analyze, communicate their learning verbally, in writing, or in presentations across the curriculum. Technology is utilized via Google Chromebooks for each child in grades 3-8.
The staff at Holy Rosary takes great pride in the school’s 128 year old history, and its legacy is carried on by the presence of the many children and grandchildren of alumni. Catholic traditions and values, and high academic and social standards are the core of our identity.
Our school has been blessed with parental support. Volunteers are seen as a gift to the school; a gift that is invaluable to the children’s educational process. Additionally, our fundraising and community events sustain the school financially as well as promote our image as an inclusive and faith-filled community that models Christ’s teachings.
I look forward to leading our school community this year, and with God’s blessings, for many years to come.
